If you saw my last post, you know that I shoot and work on stories for T.e.l.l. New England!
In our previous issue, The Roots Issue, we featured a story on the Rum Trail in New England which follows a historical path of rum and distilleries. Read the full story here.
I really enjoyed photographing the rum recipes (find them here) and tasting them! My favorite, which actually turned me off when I read the recipe, ended up being the Rum Flip, which is the frothy drink shown below. It’s a great warm drink for a cold winter evening.
The second recipe below is a healthy and wonderfully easy recipe you can make as a side dish or snack. Turmeric is a great spice that is becoming more popular especially as an anti-inflammatory. See the recipe here.
The rest is some pretty root vegetables, a seasonal delight! Hoping this wintery weather will be over soon because I’m ready for spring!
