A few months back I was involved in the planning of a wedding styled shoot as part of a retreat with Hilary Colleen Photography and Rae Ellen Photography . The retreat was held at an incredible location – The Playhouse. It is located in the Berkshires of Massachusetts and is part of the Vanderbilt Estate. With a modern and rustic twist and the interior filled with different pieces of art, it was a perfect location for an intimate wedding. Hilary really brought everything together with planning and it was amazing to see all of the hard work come together to create a beautiful shoot! There were about 14 photographers there to capture and learn as we went through and took photos of the details and then the couples. We also had the chance to experience some amazing restaurants and food in the area, and in the evenings we would hang out and one night even were able to talk about each other’s websites, work, and ideal clients. I had so much fun with this group of women and so many laughs!
On our last full day I was able to give a short teaching on how I go about photographing food! It was so fun and I enjoyed talking about my process and seeing what questions came up and how other’s went about photographing the food too.
We had some truly amazing vendors for this shoot and couldn’t have done it with out all of their talents!
