Hi All,

Happy New Year!

I can’t believe another year has gone by. Every year seems to pass faster than the last one as more and more opportunities arrive and I get busier and busier. I wanted to post some photos from 2012 that I hadn’t shown on here yet and put a little color into the cold winter we are experiencing right now.

2012 brought lots and lots of weddings! I was able to assist a few new photographers this year and I learned a ton from each of them. I was also able to get a few shoots in for different companies and restaurants which was very exciting. I already have a bunch of weddings booked for this year as well as a clearer vision of the direction I’d like my photography and vision to go. I am looking forward to all that 2013 will bring and I hope I will be blessed with as much beauty, experiences, and have as much of a blast as I did last year! (Hopefully more traveling too!)

The following photographs were taken from weddings I assisted with Joe DiMattia, Melanie Haney, and Russell Caron. Huge thanks to them for having me as a second shooter! Hopefully more to come!

The food photography is from a shoot I did for Kashmir Indian Restaurant in Salem, NH. If you love indian food, theirs was really good! Go check it out!

While you’ve seen me post a lot of wedding photography on here, which I enjoy, I also pride myself on being a food photographer, and it’s something you’ll be seeing more of in months to come. Food is something I enjoy because you can create a scene and a feeling by playing with composition, color, and texture. Food doesn’t talk back either Someday I’d love to shoot for magazines and cookbooks. That’s the dream!

A few weeks ago I was invited to shoot the Celebrity Chef Gala in Boston. It was a beautiful event at the incredible Mandarin Oriental Hotel and it featured top chefs from some of Boston’s best restaurants! It was an honor to be there and photograph some beautiful (and delicious) food. The chefs were great and I would love to be able to visit their restaurants sometime soon!

Lastly, one of my favorite parts of the wedding is when I get to see the cakes! And this year, there were so many great ones! I decided to put together all of the cakes from my weddings this year and show you! They are all really creative, fun, and equally delicious. Here’s to the weddings of 2012 and I hope the next wedding season will be just as fun and eventful!

Hi everyone,

I’ve been really excited to post this wedding! When I first talked to Laura and Mark they told me it was going to be a country wedding and I couldn’t wait to shoot it! I’m a big fan of the outdoors and being in the country so this wedding was a dream to photograph. A lot of the details were hand made and it was all so well done and looked beautiful! Although we fought the rain, we made the best of it and the newlyweds even went out for a ride in the canoe before it began to downpour again. The whole day went smoothly and the wedding party and family were great. The atmosphere was cozy and fun and I think everyone had a great time.

The wedding was held at the gorgeous Blue Water Farm in Andover, NH overlooking Bradley Lake.

Big thanks to my wonderful second shooter Tia Surles! She was a huge help and we had fun working together.

Hey Everyone! This blog post has been a long time coming. I haven’t posted much because I’ve been very busy shooting, traveling around New England, and editing lots of photos. I’ve been very excited to show you all these pictures because it was such an incredible experience that was totally new to me. A big thanks again to Joe DiMattia for having me as a second shooter on this one! Joe had mentioned it to me a while back and he decided to hire me for it. Be sure to check out his website and like his work on facebook! I think we both had an amazing time capturing this fun weekend!

The first day was the traditional “American” wedding, the second day was the henna application, and the third day was the traditional Hindu wedding ceremony. Sapna, Shelby, and their families were all wonderful to work with. Each side was very accepting of the other’s traditions and it was a very positive experience to see one family welcoming the other in the joining of two special people. During the henna application process, also known as the Mehendi, I was really able to get to know Sapna and I think we both became more comfortable with each other which is very important when photographing people. Sapna is a sports writer and yoga instructor and has traveled all over. She had some great stories to tell, (we were doing henna for around 4 hours) and was fun to talk to. After that, we headed over to the reception area where all the women (including myself) got their henna done.

The next day we were up early and headed to Webster for the Hindu ceremony. This was my first Hindu wedding, so I was excited to be a part of such a colorful and cultural event, and it didn’t disappoint. From the intricate attire, to the food, and the ceremonial steps, everything was beautifully done and I can’t say enough how incredibly welcoming the families were. I had a great time and I definitely over shot haha, but it was hard not to!

I hope I will be part of another Hindu wedding in the future!

I’m pleased to show you some images from a wedding back at the beginning of May. I was second shooting with Joe DiMattia again which is always a pleasure! It had been a while since we shot with each other and was looking forward to it. We had a lot of time to shoot before hand which I always enjoy. It’s a good time to get comfortable with the wedding party and family as well as get some great getting ready photos. The bride and her friends and family were super sweet and welcoming. They all seemed to be very close and tight knit, which I always like to see. Everything went smoothly and it was a beautiful and fun day!

I am really proud of these photos and had a great time! Congrats to the newlyweds and thanks for having me as a second shooter Joe!

Tomorrow I will be heading to San Francisco for a few weeks to meet up and visit the studios of some amazing food photographers. I’m really excited and can’t wait to take ridiculous amounts of pictures and explore the area while making new contacts and visiting some friends and family.
