Although portraits were never my strong suit, I feel like I’m getting the hang of it, or at least I hope so! It’s been great being able to do weddings and portraits to try my hand at a different side and learn more and gain more experience in something that is challenging for me. I really do feel like I’m improving.

Soon enough I’ll get back to food photography though, don’t you worry! I’ve been itching to work on it.

Did this shoot with my little brother Hunter when I got home for vacation. Using the Mamiya 645 and Leaf Aptus back, the files are incredible. I had a key light and a fill light both with umbrellas. He had a blast and posed himself. He’s a great assistant and model! :) It’s his birthday today too!
