On occasion I do some photography work for one of my all-time favorite cafes and gift shops, Apotheca Flower & Tea Shoppe. I had been going as a customer for years and have always loved how eclectic and whimsical the store and cafe was. It was a sweet spot to hang out, work, have meetings, and meet new people. The community that surrounds Apotheca is like no other. To be a “regular” there is to be a part of a family and I love that they have cultivated such a wonderful place.

Back in early May I was invited to photograph Hive’s spring showcase event! It was a beautiful, hot day and it was finally starting to feel like spring with the leaves just beginning to emerge and flowers barely blooming. Hive consists of two large airstream trailers that have been outfitted into bars with a little lounge spot on the end.
