Hi all! I didn’t take too many pictures last week because I was very busy! Last week was filled with assisting with Joyce Oudkerk Pool, which was a very new experience for me. It’s one thing to be at school or at home and set up everything on your shoot how you want it and know how to do it, and it’s a whole other thing to help some one set up their set how they want it and do things how they do them along with equipment and programs you’ve never worked with or used. So, it was tough, but I think I’m getting the hang of things and hope to keep improving so things will get easier for the both of us.
On Thursday last week, I had the privilege to meet and be interviewed by Angie Cao and her studio manager Christina McNeill. They were both super nice and seemed like great people to work with, which is what I’ll be doing come January! Yes, I got the internship that was a big part of me coming to California in the first place.
So I’ll be heading back to the East Coast for the month of December and then returning to the West Coast in January to start my internship. I am proud of myself for accomplishing all of this on my own. A few years ago I would have never done this or even thought about it but I’ve learned that if you want something you have to go after it and if you want to change your life, you can change it. It gets hard, but I always remember that I have a home to go back to and many people that love me and will always be there for me when I need them, and I hope they expect the same from me. Again, I am so grateful for the opportunities I’ve been given. :)
More to come…
The photos were from this past weekend. We went to the Academy of Sciences, then the Conservatory of Flowers where they have all kinds of plants and at the end they had some miniature San Francisco attractions, it was pretty neat.
