Today I was feeling a little weird because I hadn’t shot anything in a few days. Yes, I NEED to shoot. All the time. I’m kind of obsessed. I wasn’t really sure what to shoot, I’ve been really wanting to do some more portraiture, but I don’t have any photo buddies close by, and all my lovely friends who are always willing to model for me, have gone back to school. I need to find some local models to shoot with. Anyway, I just came to the conclusion that I would shoot things on white, and see how it goes. I went to an antique shop the other day and bought a few items to use as props. I bought some old napkins, berry baskets (see my last post), and a tea cup with a saucer. My dad’s girlfriend Kaye also gave me these really pretty spoons to use! :) I’m always looking for props these days, and I’m usually the youngest person in the antique shops, but it’s fun and there’s always all kinds of neat things to find!

Tomorrow I’m heading down to Boston to visit food photographer,Gary Tardiff’s studio. I’m very excited and can’t wait to sit in on a food product shoot with a food stylist and everything. I’m really grateful that I was able to talk with Gary and that he’s letting me come down. I’ll let you know how it goes.
