On a chilly day on the edge of Autumn I was invited down to the historical Plimoth Plantation in Plymouth, Massachusetts, to photograph the historical Thanksgiving feast with interpreters to emulate the traditional dinner that happened in 1621. It was really fun to work with everyone on this project and make it all come to life! It was especially fun to photograph people in traditional wear and capture details. The light inside the huts was perfectly moody and painterly, and my favorite shots were taken in front of the hearth. I arrived before the sun rose that day so we could capture everything before the park opened. I loved coming here as a kid with my grandparents and enjoyed learning the history and just trying to picture what things might have been like back then. It was fun to return as an adult!
